YOU'D THINK I'd be able to write about rock books in my sleep. But of course the task is dreadfully daunting, "rock" now being an engulfing umbrella for way too many (sub-) genres of modern popular music. I'm focusing, therefore, on the tomes that have most excited and illuminated me as a fan.
