Ry Cooder
John Hutchinson, In Dublin, June 1982
WITHIN HOURS of arriving from Glasgow, Ry Cooder walked into a room in Jury's Hotel wearing a black track suit, with a towel bundled under his arm. He is tall and sturdily built; his frame is unquestionably American. Grinning broadly, he sat down and called for coffee. A moment later he was completely concentrated, answering my questions with consummate professionalism.
