The Lovin' Spoonful: A Taste Of The Spoonful
Henry Diltz, Hullabaloo, December 1966
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL day to be flying somewhere. Just above a floating sea of white clouds the silver wing sticks out into vast baby blue and John and Lorey are fast asleep in a little huddle. Joe is reading. Steven is sitting up in the cockpit with the pilots who let him help sometimes. And Zal is bouncing shirtless in the aisle, swinging his elbows and telling Toad (the beloved road manager) why he's only a wretched toad and not a prince. The characteristic display of Spoonful activities that they can never avoid.
