EXCUSE MY misperception. Id always considered the White Stripes as a modernist garage-rock band-hip to the melody of catchy songs like 'Youre Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl)' and 'Seven Nation Army' but with a taste for underpinning it with raw, direct and powerfully rhythmic guitar and drums.
