I'M WELL qualified to write about XTC. I don't understand them at all. I prove that publicly last autumn when a couple of days in their company convinced me that they loved each other and would stay together forever. The NME feature out the same week as mine conversely described them as being in an advanced stage of disintegration. "Gulp!" said I.
