Peter Jones
Peter Jones was one of the most astute trendspotters in British pop. As chief writer and editor of the weekly music paper Record Mirror during the 1960s, he boasted the best contacts book in the business and was a confidant to the stars. His role in the discovery of the Rolling Stones was pivotal and he wrote the first full-length book about the Beatles, while his cheer-leading articles about Dusty Springfield, the Who, the Kinks and Jimi Hendrix helped them all on their way to stardom. Peter died in 2015.
