Barbara Lynn
David Nathan, Blues & Soul, September 1972
BARBARA LYNN is probably best known for her composition of 'You'll Lose A Good Thing', which she recorded herself in 1962 and gained a Gold Disc for her efforts. The song has since gone on to become something of a standard in Soul circles and left Barbara with the problem of having to surpass both the record and the song. Quite naturally, she's been unable to do either because both are once-in-a-lifetime occurences.
