Bettie Serveert: Eat Their Dust

Clare Kleinedler, Addicted To Noise, September 1997

IT IS ALMOST impossible to get the members of Bettie Serveert to talk seriously about anything. And strangely enough, the Dutch band is best known for their melancholic melodies and introspectively serious lyrics that made them the natural choice to open for the moody Counting Crows this summer. But judging from their behavior today, you'd think they were touring as a European comedy troupe.
