CHRIS REA'S latest is not without its ironies, especially the "Thanks" column in the sleeve credits which includes "Everyone in all the governments". Compared to other Rea albums, this one steeps itself so completely in the diverse depressions of Britain that he's in danger of sounding like a sandwich-board prophet of doom.
