Eliza Carthy: Angel of Rebellion
Charles Bermant, Rolling Stone Online, 7 February 2001
ELIZA CARTHY IS in the midst of playing a fluid passage when her feet stop moving. She rolls her eyes, exhales and scowls before attacking her electrified violin, and then slips back into a trance. The song goes on for several minutes, and she repeats the sequence, with varying intensity, two or three times.
