Godley and Crème: L
Jon Young, Trouser Press, February 1979
GIVE BOTH SIDES in the 10cc split a few LPs to get their feet back on the ground. It took Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman three; after a lousy studio album and a lousy double live set, they hit the mark with Bloody Tourists, an unsensational but sure-handed set of pop ditties that had a believable quality the original quartet never bothered with. Lol Creme and Kevin Godley marked their departure from the group by releasing Consequences, three records of more self-indulgence than most artists are allowed in a whole lifetime.
