Jack Bruce: Basscapades
Richard Gehr, Village Voice, 13 February 1990
If you were born November 26, 1968, the day Cream gave its farewell concert at the Royal Albert Hall, let me stand you a legal b-day tipple. And while we wallow in this generous holiday mood, let's set up Jack Bruce, too, who recently released the most noteworthy album of his checkered apres-Cream career, one bronco torque melee of a disc titled A Question of Time (Epic). With Eric Clapton now billing himself modestly as the Journeyman, with a record that hardly justifies the title, it's now all too clear who possessed the real brains and heart of their supertrio.
