John Lydon: Psycho's Path
David Stubbs, Uncut, August 1997
THIS IS Lydon's first solo album, recorded before and after the calamitous reunion of The Sex Pistols. You'd have thought his cup of derision would have runneth over after the Pistols' debacle, but back he comes again, still under the delusion that he is still rock's spikiest, most caustically original figurehead. He isn't. He's long since atrophied in LA. This stinks.
