John Paul Jones: Life After Led Zeppelin
Steven P. Wheeler, Happening, October 1999
WHILE JOHN Paul Jones will forever be known as the bassist and keyboardist of Led Zeppelin, his musical legacy extends far beyond the boundaries of his work with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and the late, great John Bonham. In fact, prior to joining Zeppelin, the soft-spoken Jones had already established himself as one of the top arrangers, session players and producers in pop music. A point that is rammed home by the fact that he had already been involved with three Number One hits by the time he reached the tender age of seventeen.
