Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds: Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus

AFTER THE TEPID reception for last year's Nocturama, Cave and the Bad Seeds could have been forgiven for taking time out to lick their wounds. Instead, they've returned quicky with a two-record set (not a double album, the singer has stressed) which recalls the high points of their mid-'90s masterpieces Let Love In and The Boatman's Call.
