Paul McCartney did write 'Woman', but DON'T BLAME US, PLEASE! say PETER and GORDON

LAST WEEK NME revealed that Bernard Webb, writer of Peter and Gordon's latest hit, 'Woman', was no less than Paul McCartney. The reason for the fake name? Paul wanted to see if one of his compositions could get into the charts purely on merit. It did, so he owned up.
