THE IDEA of pretending it was Hazel without her wig or Tom without the gags struck me as an astronomical corker for about a minute, until I realised how terribly true it might be: from the Breaking Glass extras on the balcony to the crap lyrics to the "right-on" radical bra and tutu garb, Sinead presented her home town with very little in the way of wit, wisdom, hope or Spangles.
