Small Faces: Ogden's Nut Gone Flake
John Pidgeon, Classic Albums (BBC Books), 1991
WRITTEN, PERFORMED and produced by musicians who, after three years of hit singles, were still not long out of their teens, the Small Faces' Ogden's Nut Gone Flake was an impressive undertaking. Apart from one more single, it also proved to be the group's last recording together, before Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie and the others regrouped, with Rod Stewart and Ron Wood, as the Faces.
