"IT JUST ISN'T fun anymore." With those cursory words on Saint Valentine's Day, 1972, John Kaye and the other members of Steppenwolf parted company forever. The dissolving band, that had howled together for five years, left behind them a legacy of nine albums, seven of them certified gold, and two million selling singles, 'Born To Be Wild' and 'Magic Carpet Ride'. But Steppenwolf was finished.
