FOR A START, L.A. is about as distant from the Bronx as Tunbridge Wells, and not just geographically, here they are very serious about punk/rock/whatever, ripping off English gravity and socio-political concerns and magnifying them (bigger and better, remember) till they deadpan you and themselves out of all existence. I mean, they dont even smile at The Ramones.
