EARLIER THIS year one of rock's newest messiahs U2's Bono appeared onstage alongside one of its oldest, Bob Dylan at an outdoor Dublin festival in front of some 40,000 people. And Bono's influence over a new generation was officially confirmed at about the same time when Premier Garrett Fitzgerald invited him to join a committee set up to look at the problems of youth unemployment in Eire.
