Blondie: Wild About Harry
Richard Cromelin, Rolling Stone, 21 April 1977
LOS ANGELES — In black minidress and thigh-high boots, Blondie's bombshell, Deborah Harry, evokes the very essence of Nancy Sinatra. When she breaks into the pony in capri pants and ruffled white blouse there's a bit of the Shelley Fabares go-go girl, and during the band's version of the Doors' 'Moonlight Drive' her delivery has something of Nico's blasé mystery. She reminded Phil Spector, who caught the show at the Whisky, of one of the Shangri-Las. She's the all-American gum-cracking sex kitten run through the rock & roll wringer.
