Black Rebel Motorcycle Club: Brixton Academy, London

HOW DID IT come to this? A little under two years ago, BRMC were making all the right noises in all the right places — squalling feedback, drones and rock'n'roll played with equal measures of relish and menace all wrapped up in black leather jacket and buckled boots. And a drummer with pin-up looks too! Perfect, right? And yet, in a very short space of time, BRMC have somehow transformed themselves from characters to caricatures.
