Therefore, any suggestions that late Blind Melon vocalist Shannon Hoon got cheated by Lucifer when he went down the crossroads to make a Faustian pact are in the worst possible taste. Worse still, anyone who suggests the tormented fellow — who died from an accidental cocaine overdose in 1995 — lucked in on the big time by selling a watered-down version of the blues should be strung up.
