Cindy Bullens can take it or leave it

"IT WAS Mick Jagger when I was 14 years I old." Cindy Bullens, almost twice that age now, took her rock 'n' roll baptismal by lip-synching to early Rolling Stones records; she'd strut cocky rooster-steps across her bedroom floor while lippy Mick and his cohorts crashed out 'Satisfaction' and 'Route 66'. Cindy Bullens's room was probably the noisiest place in all of Topsfield, the sleepy Massachusetts hollow where she whiled away her teenagedom. (Her early childhood was spent in even sleepier West Newbury, Mass.) The Stones, Beatles and her older brother's Elvis Presley LPs comprised the meat and potatoes of Bullens's not atypical adolescent musical fare.
