THE HUGE roar was not the sound of the Spion Kop, it was the sound of Stevie Winwood tearing his way through a crowd of yelling Liverpudlian fans outside his hotel. He welcomed the drink that was set out for him when he joined Spence, Dave Berry, myself and one or two others who had also run the gauntlet.
