Glut of rival ceremonies gives industry a sobering warning

BEFORE ANYONE says a disparaging word about the Brits, as invariably happens around now. bear in mind that, compared with America's stodgy Grammys, they are a bastion of radicalism. While this year's nominations include the usual gaggle of not-you-agains, they do at least recognise that pop has a future as well as a past.
