THAT THE Middle East saw the light is entirely thanks to Ron and Mel Lines. These two young men, without encouragement, financial backing, Brian Epstein or even so much as a road manager, carried the torch of rock 'n' roll music to Lebanon, Egypt, Persia, Turkey and Israel. They took it to Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
