IT WAS beginning to dawn on me. Janis Joplin was a Superstar, complete with her photo in Vogue magazine (which must be some sort of criterion). She adorned pages and covers, hundreds of words were written about her (even a song). I'm not a complete dummy; it occurred to me that I'd best grab the nearest Big Brother bandwagon and take a ride.
