WITH HER NEW ALBUM, Sunny Border Blue, Kristin Hersh has done no harm whatsoever to her image as the Sylvia Plath of pop. While Hersh claims she doesn't know what her songs are "about" half the time, references to pain, conflict and confusion spill out, even if they are camouflaged by delicate instrumental textures.
