Mother's Finest: one group under two grooves

I DON'T know about you, but the image that I had always had of Mother's Finest was that they were a sort of Osmonds-type pop group. Their first two albums tended to suggest they were a little harder, more Rock-orientated than the Osmonds and so, until a couple of months ago, I had managed to conveniently bypass them in my life.
