Mötley Crüe: Tennessee Theatre, Knoxville, Tennessee

Steffan Chirazi, Kerrang!, 30 July 1994

SPARE A thought for poor ol' Nikki Sixx, will ya? Suffering for years in limousines and jets planes the world over, enduring the tortures of multi-Platinum over-exposure and success, the screaming kids, the moolah, the filthy, stinking, raw hugeness of it all. Tough? This is what ol' Nikk will tell you in theatre dressing rooms before small 'down home' shows on tours that will end up being cancelled before these words reach your eyes. Of course, we know it's a crock of shit, that Mötley Crüe miss success like we'd miss a limb. But bless their delusional Metal hearts — however much it hurts, they ain't tellin'.
