THE GOFFIN-King classic, 'Goin' Back', has got to be one of the great melancholy rock/drama tunes of all time. The Byrds once did it proud, and their rendition has never seen an equal until Nils'. The boy's piano bridge elicits physical rushes; his mezzoalto vocals are still somewhere between Neil Young (his old patron) and Andy Pratt, and I'm really surprised at how good this whole album is.
