Patrice Rushen: Rushen Invasion!

BY THE TIME she was twelve, Patrice Rushen was a highly accomplished keyboard player and she developed into one of the highest regarded instrumentalists long before she finally broke through with the Pizzazz album and, more especially, the single from it, 'Haven't You Heard'. Pizzazz marks the fifth album for the musician's musician and yet the eloquent Ms. Rushen doesn't feel it is she who changed so much as her audience.
