POLY STYRENE couldn't have moved further away from X-Ray Spex in the two years she has been off the scene. Where Spex were brash and belligerent, full of crude shapes and colours and fronted by a fat, giggling, bumbling little girl, Poly and her band of sessioneers are smooth and subtle, full of subliminal nuances and fronted by a slimmer, more sensual, serious woman now.
