Pure Prairie League, Jimmy Buffett: Bottom Line, New York NY

THERE ARE a staggering number of groups who turn out record after record, play the stateside circuit for years, and yet never get escalated into the more rarefied ranks of true stardom. Two of these artists, Pure Prairie League from the Midwest, and Jimmy Buffett from Florida, shared the bill at the Bottom Line, making for a relaxed and tuneful, if not exactly inspirational evening.
