Introduction

THIS ARTICLE IS a case study of an influential British music publication of the 1970s. Let It Rock (hereafter LIR) was a monthly magazine and a forerunner of such present-day publications as Q and Mojo. 35 issues of the magazine were published between October 1972 and December 1975.
