Ian Lloyd & Stories: Traveling Underground
Bud Scoppa, Rolling Stone, 28 February 1974
STORIES COPED with the loss of founder Michael Brown (a fine keyboard player and songwriter who also led the Left Banke) by recording 'Brother Louie', an offbeat non-original that became the group's first hit single. Following on the heels of its rapid changes in leadership, style and fortune is Stories' third LP, Traveling Underground, and it smacks of trial and error.
