They like to think of themselves as "pop punks." In America most of the attention paid Blondie is focused on namesake Debbie Harry, whose blonde punum has graced the insides and covers of more magazines than you could read in a year of airplane rides. Thanks to her visibility and photogeniality, the group has been given quite a bit more coverage than any other New York band; lots of nice doors have been opened as a result.
