Bobby Womack: My Prescription (Minit LP 24027 U.S. only; No British release scheduled)

THE ALBUM opens with one of Bobby's own compositions, 'How I Miss You Baby', a mid-tempo song with a sad sounding chorus. The heavy guitaring, presumably supplied by our artist himself, lends a lot of depth to the overall sound and is aided by some strings and the subtle use of an organ. An outstanding song to begin with. I must confess that the opening track often decided whether an album gets through to me on first play and in this case, it did!
