Dolly Parton: Hammersmith Odeon, London
Mick Brown, The Guardian, 21 November 1978
THE FIXATION on Dolly Parton's buxom outrageousness has evidently become so acute that nowadays even Ms Parton feels obliged to use it as a butt for humour in her performance. "I know there's a lot of people here out of curiosity," she says, "just to see if they're as big as you thought they were." It is only when the whistles have subsided that she says that, of course, she was talking about her wigs.
