The Delfonics: Very much alive and kicking

WITH ALL of the current interest in the Philly Sound, now is a very apt moment to consider the group that started it all, the Delfonics. Why is the timing to ideal? Well, simply because on the strength of the trio's just-released LP, Alive And Kicking, they are set fair to start challenging for the crown that they lost a couple of years back to the city's emerging groups, such as the Stylistics, Blue Notes or Ohio-based O'Jays
