HERE WE are, talking to ourselves again, still waiting for the new releases by the Rolling Stones, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Doors, the Byrds, the Grateful Dead, the Buffalo Springfield, the Holy Modal Rounders, Big Brother and the Holding Company, and Pearls Before Swine. Probably, by the time you read this, you will have heard all of the above-listed albums, but keep in mind that this column — because of the pressure of printing deadlines — was written on July 19. On that date, most of the action was yet to come. A lot of good things were released in late June and early July, though.
