Sunshine Band Sees Daylight — That's the Way K.C. Likes It

Tom Vickers, Rolling Stone, 20 November 1975

SAN CARLOS, CALIFORNIA — K.C. and the Sunshine Band threw a down-home dance party on the Circle Star Theatre's usually sedate stage. Whistles turned to screams as the nine-piece group jogged to their places. When they broke into 'Sound Your Funky Horn', the group, dressed in parti-colored Jack La Lanne suits, jumped and played their brand of jackhammer boogie. H.W. Casey, the K.C. in the Sunshine Band, pounded the keyboards and did a little dance. Tight but not slick, the Sunshine Band dispensed with group choreography, each member moving wildly to a different drummer.
